Today, Asher is the founder and chairman of M&A Arts, a trailblazing organization at the intersection of Art and Finance, specializing in the fractionalization of art. He remains a key figure in the art world, with a longstanding history of innovation in collateralized art loans dating back to the 1970s. His passion for art also led to the founding of the FAE Musée d’Art Contemporain in Switzerland, further cementing his influence in art-related businesses.

Over his 65-year career, he established himself as a pioneer in the creation and trading of derivatives and options, as well as the acquisition and turnaround of distressed companies. A trailblazer in leveraged buyouts, he shared his expertise by teaching a course at Columbia Business School titled “Mergers and Acquisitions: The Art of War.”

In addition to his professional achievements, he has served on the boards of numerous educational, music, and art institutions. These include his roles as Chairman of the Board at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Vice Chairman of the American Ballet Theatre, Vice Chairman of the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, Chairman of the Karole Armitage Dance Group, and a board member of the Prix de Lausanne and Gotham Chamber Opera. He is also a committee member for painting and sculpture at the Whitney Museum and currently serves on Bard College's board.

Beyond the arts, he has held leadership positions as Chairman, Vice Chairman, CEO, or board member of various public and private corporations, demonstrating his wide-ranging influence and expertise.
